]]>The TikToker recently welcomed a rescue kitten named Bruno into her family. At first, she was worried about how her female Rottweiler Isla would react to the newcomer, but there was no reason for that.
Isla welcomed Bruno straight away, happily allowing the playful cat to use her as a slide and then returning all the cuddles he gave her.
A few weeks later, @beckkyd managed to capture an even more heartwarming video that shows the affection the two share. It was a “Lazy Sunday,” and Isla was taking a nap. It wasn’t long before Bruno wanted to join in, snuggling tightly alongside Isla.
Speaking with Newsweek, @beckkyd shared that the two share “a very special bond and love to chase each other around the house and play together.”
“I’ve been absolutely amazed by their bond. I could sit for hours and watch them together. Lots of people have commented on TikTok about how gentle and cute they are together,” the TikToker added.

]]>Named after Edgar Allan Poe, the author of the beloved poem “The Raven”, Poe was brought to the American Eagle Foundation in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee after suffering a crucial wing injury. He was rescued in North Carolina in 2009, and it quickly became clear it was impossible to release him back into the wild because his injury left him with limited flight capabilities.
This didn’t stop Poe from living his best life, and he’s now one of the most popular animals at the American Eagle Foundation.
“I used to be in the bird show at Dollywood, then retired because I wouldn’t stop stealing food from audience members! So now I’m at the AEF headquarters where I spend my days playing with and shredding toys, doing lots of fun activities […] and educating the public!” reads Poe the Raven’s Instagram page.
Poe the Raven is now followed by over 200,000 people on Instagram, and the AEF is using his platform to spread important information about this bird species.

]]>The story about this “rescue” was recently shared on the Facebook page of the animal charity organization Lower Moss Wood Nature Reserve & Wildlife Hospital, from the small English town of Knutsford.
As it turns out, an anonymous woman found what she thought was a fluffy baby hedgehog on the pavement in front of her house. She decided to take it inside and attempted to feed it. After the “baby hedgehog” didn’t touch its food, she decided to take it to the animal hospital.
After arriving at the hospital, the staff checked the “baby hedgehog” and discovered that the fluffy thing was actually a pop-pop from a winter cap. The woman was quite “embarrassed” by her mistake but received praise for her good intentions.
“Remember, kindness knows no bounds, even when it’s to a faux furry friend!” Lower Moss Wood Nature Reserve & Wildlife Hospital wrote in a caption of the video that detailed the story.
We hope that this mishap won’t discourage the woman from helping animals in need in the future. Because let’s face it, silly mistakes can happen to everyone and being kind is never a mistake.

]]>Back in December, Penso was visiting her parents in La Azulita, Venezuela, and decided to go on a mountain bike ride. After a while, she noticed a small lost puppy following her. The puppy chased her bike and begged for attention while being the cutest little thing ever.
When she noticed there were no humans or homes around, Penso realized that the puppy was either a stray or abandoned. She decided to pick it up and put it in her backpack before making a 30-mile trip back to her parent’s home, which became the dog’s home as well.
Penso later shared several updates about the puppy, which is now called Neblina. The dog hasn’t been able to travel with her to Caracas, where she lived, so she was forced to leave it with her parents.
Eventually, she figured out that it is better for Neblina to stay put because she had a lot of space to run and play compared to the big city.
”I miss her but she is better there in Azulita,” Penso concluded in her most recent Instagram post featuring Neblina.

]]>During a hunting trip, Guiot encountered a wild boar piglet in the woods. With his mother not around and predators lurking, Guiot decided to take the piglet and bring him home. It was supposed to be only temporary, but life had other plans.
The wild boar, whom they named Oscar, ended up providing them with so much sweetness and joy that they couldn’t get themselves to part ways with him.
“We hadn’t planned to keep him here, but to save him and then release him, but we became attached to him,” Pierre told Reuters.
After one year of coming to Guiot and Pierre’s home as a piglet, Oscar is now a full-grown wild boar that weighs 176 pounds. But despite this, he seems to be the sweetest pet imaginable. He has his own bed, pillows, and blankets and doesn’t mind spending time indoors. On top of that, he even learned that he shouldn’t relieve himself in the house and makes sure to notice his humans when he needs to “go” so they can take him outside.

Reptile rescue Gator Country recently showcased this unusual technique, called “icing”, in a viral video shared on TikTok. The clip shows an alligator frozen in the pond with just his snout poking out while a staff member explains what is happening with the reptile.
“That animal is in full hibernation right there. His heart is beating 3 beats per minute. Folks, that’s amazing. That’s how alligators survive in the ice,” a Gator Country staff member explains.
The video got a lot of attention on social media, with a lot of internet users learning about alligators’ winter mode for the first time.
“This is honestly the coolest knowledge I’ve gotten in a while,” one TikTok user wrote in the comments section of the video.

]]>A recent viral video posted by TikTok user tanjatanja8651on shows people taking photos of the cat’s performance, giving it pets, and even contributing money.
Most people believed the cat was a stray, but that actually isn’t the case. The cat, named Tarik, was adopted by the staff of a nearby Golden Eye Jewellery store several years ago, and they take care of it.
The spokesperson for the store told The Dodo that Tarik often spends time in front of the store in order to hang out with passersby and receive pets. They also added that Tarik’s recent street performance ended up contributing to a good cause because the money that the cat collected ended up being used to feed a number of stray animals.
“We feed around 15 stray cats a day,” Ender said. “We had a nice banquet for Tarik’s friends with the money he collected, buying them nice food. Our goal is to increase people’s interest in stray animals.”
