Vanessa and Toby, a girl and a dog, met at the lowest point of their lives. Toby was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Ohio. He spent months in a cage and then ended up in another shelter where Vanessa found him. At the same time, Vanessa got him when she was dealing with her own mental health issues. The two saved each other, rescued one another, in the worst time of their lives. To celebrate the fact of finding each other and to always remember what they both went through together, the two got a tattoo. To celebrate their bond, Vanessa got a tattoo to match the one a previous owner put on the dog’s ear. Isn’t it so sweet?
