A while back, retired postman Rodney Holbrook discovered that there was something strange happening in his shed. Every time he comes back to it, he discovers that the small tools and objects he left lying around are neatly put back into the box on the worktable.
Wanting to get to the bottom of the mystery, Holbrook set up a camera to film the worktable when he’s not around. Watching the footage, he discovered that a tiny mouse was working tirelessly every night to tidy up the mess left behind.
The video, shared by The Guardian, shows a mouse picking up objects and putting them into a box on the worktable.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw that the mouse was tidying up, he moved all sorts of things into the box, bits of plastic, nuts and bolts,” Holbrook shared in a chat with BBC. “I don’t bother to tidy up now, as I know he will see to it.”
After solving the mystery, Holbrook’s friends suggested he should create some challenges for the mouse and get some funny videos out of it. However, Holbrook isn’t interested in doing that and will simply let the mouse continue enjoying its tidying-up sessions.
