In Washington, the 30th Annual Bark Ball has taken place. it was a fundraiser to help animals in need. Dogs got dressed fancy, they were wearing ties, dresses and fine plastic jewelry.

All the dogs at the party were good boys and girls including some dogs who were really hungry but knew it was improper to eat before everyone has been served.

All DC’s most powerful dogs were there for the evening, some famous humans showed up, including former Senators Bob and Elizabeth Dole. More than $700,000 had been raised for the Humane Rescue Alliance.

On Facebook, the group said that the money will “protect animals, support families, and advocate for positive change to create a world where all animals can thrive. “If you and your dog were unable to attend the event, but want to make a donation, you can still do it.
