Cat Brings Home a Mouse, Provides Him Dinner

Who says that cats and mice can’t be friends? Despite being considered natural enemies, these two species can actually develop a great friendship in certain circumstances. A viral video shared on social media by TikTok user Abbie Anne offers a great example.

In the clip, which received 1.4 million views in a matter of days, Anne’s cat Chewie can be seen watching over a mouse who is enjoying a meal. As it turns out, Chewie brought the mouse home and then sat him at his own plate for dinner.

“My pet has a pet. We usually find multiple dead mice, but this one was special,” Anne shared in the caption of the video while adding that the whole situation is “giving Tom and Jerry.”

A lot of TikTok users shared their thoughts about this unlikely duo in the comments section.

“this feels like the beginning of a Pixar movie,” one TikToker commented.

“Imagine the mouse going back to his family and trying to explain how a cat didn’t eat him and instead gave him food,” another added.

Anne later uploaded a follow-up video explaining that she released the mouse into the greenhouse just to make sure Chewie didn’t change his mind.
