Barclay is a Golden Retriever: He is extremely friendly and loves cuddling. His best friend is a duck, a four-year-old Pekin duck Rudy. They are the cutest best friends you’ll ever see.
At the beginning, the two weren’t good friends. Rudy, being the alpha duck of his group, would chase Barclay away when he would approach. However, soon the Retriever became such a usual guest at the coop that they started interacting. Now they have developed a strong friendship. According to their owners: “[Barclay] likes to drink their bath water and, if he happens to be stealthy enough, he loves to sniff a little duck butt!”
They often play together: “Rudy every once in a while climbs on top of Barclay. The dog doesn’t seem to mind terribly because that gives him the opportunity to sniff Rudy’s butt – win-win! ”They have a weird relationship: “When they are together, somebody is always chasing or jumping on someone else, but when they are apart, they’re always calling for each other.” It is as if they need each other, they have a very strong bond, and they hang out all the time! Sometimes animals can be even more human than people!
