An adorable sheepadoodle named Bayley has recently become a huge internet star thanks to its similarity with Snoopy from Peanuts. The two share several characteristic features, including the recognizable head shape, button-like nose, and black floppy ears.
The internet’s fascination with Bayley started when the popular Instagram account Doodle Dogs Club shared a side-by-side comparison of him and Snoopy, calling him “the spitting image” of the beagle from Peanuts. Instagram users couldn’t help but to agree and immediately fell in love with the two-year-old pupper. The post has since got more than 1.6 million likes.
Snoopy first appeared in the 1950s Peanuts comic strip written by Charles M. Schulz. Since then, the beagle has become an iconic pop culture character, making appearances in various animated series and films based on Peanuts. Schulz based Snoopy’s look on one of his childhood dogs.
