Japan’s Cat Island Asked The Internet For Food, This Is What They Got

Japan’s cat island, Aoshima, is a remote island in the Ehime Prefecture of southern Japan. On Aoshime, there’s a remarkable 6 to 1 ratio of cats to humans. Due to bad weather conditions, the citizens of the island did not get a proper supply of food, which made the cats more hungry, and a little agitated.

A town resident went to twitter and asked people to send cat food to the island. After a few days, a flood of cat food arrived, and surprised the entire island. Now, the residents ask from people to stop sending food, because they don’t have anywhere to store all of it.
