TikTok user Skye Cotter recently posted a video of her hamster Oscar having the most adorable reaction when he sees her after 10 days. The tiny hamster can be seen running to his owner in order to show how much he misses her.
At first, Oscar wasn’t sure whether it was Skye and was watching her cautiously from his den. But once he realized his owner was back, he started moving faster in anticipation of some long overdue cuddles.
“The way he runs faster once he knows it’s me. I’m so happy to be back with him. I missed him so much,” Skye wrote in the caption of the video.
Oskar and Skye’s reunion became an instant hit on social media. The clip has been viewed 1.2 million times since being posted and attracted more than a thousand comments.
Other TikTok users were delighted by the heartwarming scene but also impressed with Oscar’s crib, which was unlike most hamster living spaces.
“What an incredible habitat you created for him!!” one TikToker wrote in the comments section.
“That hamster has a millionaire home,” added another.
This prompted Skye to later share a tour of Oscar’s home in a follow-up video.
