While cats can’t get jealous in the same sense that humans can, they still display some form of jealousy. This typically happens when they feel their territory is jeopardized by another cat or they are not in control of the situation.
Most felines show their jealousy through some form of aggression. For example, they might turn to hissing, scratching, or biting. One cat owner recently experienced this when they brought a rescued kitten to their house.
In a viral video shared on social media, TikTok user Justin Rodriguez can be seen petting their cat. While the cat seems to like it, she still finds time to display some tantrums, grumbling, and hissing at Rodriguez while showing him her sharp fangs.
“Rescued a kitten and our cat is pissed,” Rodriguez wrote in the text placed across the video that was viewed almost 15 million times since being shared several days ago.
Understandably, TikTok users were quite amused with the cat’s tantrums. They wanted to see more of her and Rodriguez delivered, sharing several other videos. This included an older video in which she showed the same behavior to a foster cat and made it clear that “she just really hates kittens.”
