Wild animals have one great thing going for them—they don’t have to go to a job every day. They are free to roam the jungles with no bosses standing over their heads and reminding them of deadlines. But the animals living in the illustrations of Budapest, Hungary, based artist Aliz Buzas don’t have this easy.
Buzas is a talented graphic designer and illustrator who creates all sorts of intriguing illustrations inspired by animals. She recently did a series of works in which she decided to imagine animals as hard-working professionals.
In her works, animals take on different jobs that suit their skills in an amusing way. For example, an otter, known for having bad eyesight, works as an optician.
Lion, on the other hand, is working as a lifeguard on the beach, while a fox is putting out fires as a firefighter.
According to Buzas, the series was inspired by one of the books she enjoyed as a child.
“When I was a child my favorite book was about dogs, who wore clothes and had professions,” she explains.
