One morning in Parma, Ohio, a police officer went out to his car, and discovered his windshield had become the nest for a mourning dove who had just laid her eggs. Rather than turn her into a “jailbird”, the cops decided they would try to make her more comfortable. They taped off the area around the car so no one would bother her. They even taped an umbrella to the windshield to protect her and her nest from the sun and rain.
“We care for all lives, human and animal,” Parma Police spokesperson Kevin Rile. Awwwww.
